  Pie Iron Recipes

Portabella Melts
  • Large Portabella Mushroom Cap
  • Slab of Mozzarella Cheese
Directions:
Generously butter each half of the pie iron. Place the mushroom cap between the irons and sear over the fire for a good few minutes on each side. (You can't really over cook these). Open the irons and place a slab of mozzarella cheese on the underside of the mushroom cap. Close the irons for a couple of minutes until the cheese is melted. Enjoy.

Comments:
If you like things a little on the salty side, try pouring some soy sauce over the mushroom prior to cooking.
