  Dutch Oven Recipes

Grandpa Boda's Hotdog Soup
  • 2 to 4 Hotdogs
  • 2 Raw Eggs
  • 2 Cups of Flower seasoned
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Onion Salt or Powder
  • Potatoes Diced Finely
Directions:
In a heavy iron skillet with a lid (placed in the camp's fire) add the following:

2 Quarts of water
2 to 4 hotdogs, ground once or diced.

2 eggs mixed with flour and seasonings until slightly sticky. More flour can be added to help with spooning them into the boiling water and hotdogs. Keep the spooning of egg and flower to about marble size as they will swell during cooking.

Add the diced potatoes and let it cook for a couple of hours.

Season to taste as needed, and serve!
